After our first cold, snowy and grey day in Ushuaia – the sun came out for our boat trip down the Beagle Channel to Seawolf Island. We were the only non Argentinians on the boat which included some real characters: the guy at our table constantly drinking his Mate – a tea high in caffeine that everyone carries round in a gourd cup and topped up from a flask of hot water. Pristine water, noisy smelly seals and an island of sea skimming cormorants made the trip a highlight of our time at the end of the world.
