Sand angels, wombats, squeaky beaches and gorgeous landscapes!

Amidst all the uncertainty of our imminent move to New Zealand and the lockdown in the north of Victoria, we thought we’d get out on the road and visit the beautiful Wilson’s Prom(ontory) – about 90 mins drive from Wonthaggi. Our early morning start rewarded us with sunlit landscapes, grazing furry wombats and virtually empty beaches. Squeaky beach – so named due to the rounded grains of quartz which make a squeaky noise when walked on, only had to be shared with 3 very large seagulls who tried to steal our socks when we went for a paddle! Walking amongst the gorgeous landscape and incredible wildlife and plants certainly put things into perspective.

Weird leg stuff going on😳!
Squeaky beach was a bit busy!
