Driving a 6m x 2.5m camper van along tiny roads certainly develops your reflexes… ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

Apart from that – it’s brilliant. We said goodbye to Rosie and Stella after a rejuvenating Auckland Bush walk; flew to Christchurch, saw the devastation after the earthquake and the phoenix rising from the ashes. There are still many empty and unsafe buildings including the remains of the cathedral and a moving installation of 185 chairs, painted white and donated by the families of those who died in the earthquake. Our first night in the Campervan challenged us from working out how to open the awning to peeing in a v small cupboard! Haven’t had much WiFi since arriving in S. Island so prepare for the onslaught of photos!

At our first campsite in Kaikoura we were directed to Lovers Lane ๐Ÿ˜† and our neighbour was an amazing 83 year old NZ woman – who still drives her own camper van around NZ. We met a family catching huge fish off the beautiful empty beach. Loving the life in the camper van – so far!!!
