Arriving in Madrid at 1am – our Uber dropped us in the wrong street, but the welcoming sight of Silvana outside her gorgeous flat was just the start of a fantastic weekend. Ella, Oscar Katie and Monte joined us for several gastronomic feasts – from a tiny but packed bar serving pinchos de bacalao, freshly cooked pieces of cod in batter with several cana – small glasses of local beer to breakfast in a gorgeous local bar where the barman insisted on teaching me how to pour beer, rewarding me with a free plate of paella and said beer! Our walking tour of the city with the gorgeous Gonzales was fun, interesting and we all got to strike the bears bottom to ensure we come back to Madrid! The weekend finished with cocktails on the rooftop of the circular des belles artes and beautiful views of the city. Oscar also got attacked by a pigeon😆😆💕 –
